I missed the September posting because we were away - we are moving to Sydney in December, so went down there in the school holidays to show it to the kids and check things out. Of course we did the touristy things, such as a trip to Taronga Zoo:
This is a street in The Rocks, the oldest part of Sydney. I always love the combination of old and new:
We stayed in Narrabeen (Northern Beaches), which is the area where we hope to live. It's so beautiful!
On the way home we camped in Sandy Hollow in the Hunter Valley, where I captured this Glossy Black Cockatoo:

Here are my August photos - the one above of my youngest son has taken its place in the Top 10 of my all-time favourites!
And here are some more kookaburra pics:
Who doesn't love a rainbow?
And, last but not least, some exciting news: the 100% Australian stock photo site Austockphoto has just been launched and I am very proud and happy to be a Founding Contributor! You can find my portfolio here.

For July's posting (a few days late) here are a few photos of a walk through the Boondall Wetlands. We saw a Collared Kingfisher:
The nights have been cold, so I have taken up knitting again. Love the texture of the stitching:

For June's posting a few photos from our recent trip to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland - the gorgeous view over the Glass House Mountains (the kookaburra was enjoying it too):
The walking track through the rainforest at the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve:
A shell on Dicky Beach in Caloundra:
And a colourful flower (as yet still unidentified) near the beach:
