Not for lefties
This is one of the computers at the University of Queensland library in Herston, where I work on my PhD thesis every Friday.
I am lefthanded and always put the mouse at the left side of the keyboard. Usually that isn't a problem, but these keyboards have the mouse attached to the far right, with a very small cord.
VERY annoying!

African Tulip Tree
Although very decorative, this tree is now considered a serious environmental weed in Queensland.
Here's one in our street - I finally was able to make a picture of it without a car standing in front!

Clem 7 Tunnel vent
This is one of two ventilation stacks of the Clem 7 Tunnel under the Brisbane river that links the north- and southside of Brisbane. This one, in Bowen Hills, is red, the other one, in Woolloongabba, purple - inspired by the poinciana and jacaranda trees that colour the city red and purple in spring.
A lot of people don't like these creations of architect John Ilett, but I think they are a nice, colourful addition to the cityscape of Brisbane. You can see them from miles away.
